Position Objective: To complete inspections and maintenance on SWCD Projects. Duties include: Site assessment, site prep, which may include installation of erosion control blanket or other products, handling and planting native plants, trees, and shrubs, weeding, and sediment removal, providing direction, and assisting volunteer project planters, collecting water quality samples, helping with annual tree sale distribution, working with the public and other office duties as may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ability to work 9 to 10 hours days in all weather conditions
  • Available to work weekends or nights when requested
  • Valid MN Drivers Licenses
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 360
  • Organization skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Native Minnesota Trees and Plants
  • Self-driven and highly motivated
  • Experience in natural resources field or natural resource class work
  • Good communication skills
  • GIS Experience
  • Work independently and as a part of a team
