According to Darren Mayers, Crow Wing SWCD, District Technician “This book focuses on Central Minnesota Counties including parts of Aitkin, Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Clearwater, Crow Wing, Hubbard, Itasca, Koochiching, Mahnomen, Morrison, Ottertail, Polk, Todd, and Wadena. Local landowners share their story on woodland management, tree farms, and creating a tree legacy.
Not Familiar with Forest Lingo? There are clear explanations of area tree types, uses, and vocabulary. The book includes information on; wildlife conservation, invasive plant species, tree benefits, and tree and clean water connections.
